Tom Vandenkendelaere (1984) is a Member of the European Parliament for CD&V (Christen-Democratisch & Vlaams, Belgium) since 2014. He is the former national chairman of JONGCD&V, the youth wing of the Flemish Christian-democratic party and a Vice-President of the Youth of the European People’s Party.
Tom is a University of Kent graduate and holds a PhD with a thesis on the Europeanisation of Polish-German relations after Poland’s accession to the EU.
Fluently in English, German, French and Dutch, Tom uses his spare time to play volleyball, enjoy a good meal or watch rally.
