Ana Maria MIRANDA PAZ

Ana Miranda is a Galician nationalist born in 1971 that grew up in Travesas in Vigo. Studied law in Santiago and Germany (Passau) and finished her specialization European law in Louvain. The journey took her to Brussels to practice in the Council of Ministers in the areas of social and political cohesion and then working in the EU institutions, where she had the privilege of working with MEP Camilo Nogueira between 1999 and 2004.
In recent years she was the representation of Nottingham in Brussels dealing agreements in coalition with other political formations, first with GALEUSCAT (2004-2009), and then to Europe of Peoples – Green (2009 elections with ERC, Aralias , Eusko Alkartasuna, CHA and the Greens).  She pursued the political function of vice president of the European Free Alliance (EFA), the European political party that is integrated in the BNG. Since January 2012 she returns to be officially a member of the European Parliament, which gives us an extra political ability to act in the defense of Galicia also in Brussels.

She is an optimistic person and perseverant who likes to talk to people. Lives in Brussels but travels often to Galicia where she lives with her 8 year old daughter.
