Andrea Češková was born on October 18, 1971. She graduated in 1995 from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. Since 1997 she was involved in the tax and accounting, and since 2003 she is a litigator. ODS member since 1998.
From 1998 until 2010, she was a councilor of the City of Prague and from 2002 to 2010 chairman of the Finance Committee of the Assembly of the City of Prague. Starting June 2009, she was a Member of the European Parliament, where she acted as a permanent member of the Committee on Budgetary Control and Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality.
Moreover, she was a member of the Interparliamentary Delegation for relations with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo. Andrea speaks English and has passive knowledge of Spanish. She is single and has two children.
