Katarína Nevealová was one of the youngest Members of the European Parliament and the youngest in the S&D group. She focused her work in the European Parliament predominantly on the youth policy agenda, education, culture and women’s rights and gender equality, However, her work is nowadays focusing on the regions of Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa.
She was a member of the Committee for Culture and Education and the Delegation to the EU-Kazakhstan, EU-Kyrgyzstan and EU-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Cooperation Committees, and for relations with Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Mongolia. She was also a substitute in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality, then Euronest Parliamentary Assembly and the Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.
Katarína was very active also outside the European Parliament – by holding a post of the Vice-President of the European Youth Forum, Vice-President of the Young Social Democrats in Slovakia and the head of the International Unit of her home party Smer-SD.
