Political science graduate (2002). Master’s degree (2007).
European Parliament (2003-2004). National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia (2004). Permanent Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia to the European Parliament (2009-2011).
Member of the Social Democrats (SD). Member of Koper Municipal Council (1999-2009). Member of the Executive Committee of the European Women’s Lobby, a nongovernmental organisation (2007-2009)
She was the Vice-Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committees and member of the Committee on Regional Development, the Delegation to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committees and the Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. During this period she server also as a substitute for the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality and the Delegation to the EU-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee.
