Roberta Alma Anastase

Roberta Alma Anastase was born on the 27th of March 1976 in Ploieşti. She is a Romanian politician and former first female Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania between 19 December 2008 and 3 July 2012. As a member of the Democratic Liberal Party, affiliated to the European People’s Party–European Democrats, she became an MEP on 1 January 2007 with the accession of Romania to the European Union. Also, she represented Romania at the 1996 Miss Universe competition.
