Born September 2, 1973 in Longjumeau, a lawyer by training (Master II Environmental Law, / Master II in Public Law and Human Rights), Sandrine Aries displays at the highest level expertise in environmental and European matters. She was an assistant for the International Union for Conservation of Nature Bonn and the Council of Europe in 1996 and then from 1998 to 2001, responsible for the legal sector (youth employment) Alsace Nature where she became director Regional in 2001.
Along with this function, she was the representative for International Council of Environmental Law and the European Environmental Bureau of the Council of Europe. In 2008, she was volunteer at the Legal Network Management France Nature Environnement, where she took over as director of the Federal National Federation (NEF).
Also, she was a lecturer in Law and Management of Industrial Environment Law, Conservation, Participatory Democracy and the role of associations, at the University of Strasbourg, and the Law of risks and responsibilities at the University of Haute Alsace Mulhouse, Sandrine Aries was elected president from 1997 to 2002 of ARPEJE (Association for Achievement and Promotion of Lawyers of the Environment) and member of the Board of Directors of the SFDE (French Company Law for the Environment) from 2004 to 2008.
In 2008, by order of the Prime Minister, she was appointed member of the National Commission for Public Debate. On 10 December 2008, Sandrine Aries resigned as director of federal France Nature. Top of the list Region Eastern Europe Ecologie Rally in spring 2009 Sandrine Aries was elected MEP and seat in the / EFA Greens parliamentary group.
