EU 40 and Enel Group, in the framework of the International Year of Sustainable Energy for all (2012), were pleased to invite you to discuss the Sustainable Energy for All Initiative and to have introduced the project “Enabling Electricity” during a walking lunch at the European Parliament (Presidential Salon) for the next 13th of November at 12.30.

EU Development Commissioner, Mr. Andris Piebalgs, during the Rio+20 conference, June 2012, pointed out that the EU is fully behind the Sustainable energy for all initiative. According to the Commissioner, all actors, be they public or private, international or local, have a role to play.

The Enel Group decided to respond UN Secretary-General and Commissioner calls for Action and committed to create “EN-EL Enabling Electricity” programme to increase access to energy. Electricity is an extraordinary driver of growth and prosperity and today, more than one million people across the world are benefiting from Enel’s innovative projects to access energy.
