Michael Theurer (FDP/ALDE), Member of the European Parliament since 2009, is Chair of the Budgetary Control Committee and Substitute Member of the Committee on Regional Development as well as Vice-Chair of the network “MEP Danube Forum” in the European Parliament.

In 2013, he co-founded the Danube Parliamentarian Network Initiative for closer parliamentarian cooperation in the region. He is Chair of FDP Baden-Württemberg and was Lord Mayor of Horb am Neckar from 1995 to 2009.
