Uncle Suel

Uncle Suel is an American Hip Hop artist/producer currently residing in Belgium.
He was born in North Carolina to Congolese parents and raised primarily in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, but has called several cities, states and countries home throughout his life, including his parents native Congo & Belgium.
Uncle Suel became interested in  the hip hop culture at a young age, initially through dancing, but he would eventually gravitate towards the microphone. Some of his early influences included EPMD, Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, N.W.A, Eric B & Rakim, LL Cool J & Too Short to name but a few.
Uncle Suel would make his debut as an MC in 1993 but it wasn’t until 1998 that he started taking  music  seriously. He has released several independent projects including 2 solo albums, 1 group project, 1 compilation and several mixtapes. He has also been featured on various projects throughout the years. Uncle Suel is a seasoned performer having shared the stage with the likes of Too Short, The Luniz, Yelawolf, Planet Asia and others.
In 2008 Uncle Suel relocated to Belgium for personal reasons and with renewed inspiration he has been busy writing and recording. He released a 6 song  EP “My Way “ in collaboration with Unissons Studios in 2010 & and Free “net tape “  which will be followed by his 3rd solo album.


1998 Signs deal with independent Portland based hip hop label “A Black Clan Recordz”
Appears on Amunx Men compilation and releases first maxi single
2001 Leaves “A Black Clan Recordz” and forms “Chopsquad” with several former label mates and other local artists.
Begins working on “Chopsquad” project
2002 Releases 1st solo album “Frequent Flyer Miles”
2004 Releases compilation with fellow Chopsquad member Mercy1, “Ya Baby Mom’s favorite”
2005 Releases Mixtape “Uncle Suel Presents”  and 2nd solo album “Hungry Season”
2006 Releases “Milltiket “ project with D.O.S & KD
2007 Releases “Reality Check” Mixtape hosted by DJ Blurray
2010 Releases “My Way” EP
2012 Releases “Reality Check: 2K Suel” mix tape
